Lance Yacoboski is the owner and sales director of Freelance Marketing.
He has over 20 years of food industry sales & marketing experience. Lance has successfully helped a number of brands grow their sales and build market share across Vancouver Island, the Vancouver Lower Mainland and Western Canada.
Through his role as owner of Freelance, Lance leverages his extensive industry experience and long standing channel partnerships to help vendors create brand awareness, grow sales and achieve business objectives.
Alice Lum, VP Administration & Sales
Alice brings over 30 years of grocery industry experience to her position at Freelance Marketing.
Starting in her family’s grocery business in Victoria, she is well versed in all aspects of the grocery sector and supply chain. Alice manages all the key office administration functions at Freelance. She is also responsible for outside sales, where she fosters growth through superior customer service skills and follow through.
Matt Smith, VP Eastern Canada
Matt has over 22 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the food industry, successfully building multiple National and Regional brands across various categories in the Retail and Foodservice business.
His experience covers grocery, produce, frozen boxed, appetizers, fresh meats, frozen boxed meats, deli, home meal replacement, and processed meats categories. Matt’s background covers both branded and private label, with extensive experience working through the product development process, from ideation to successful product launch.
Craig Dolan, National Sales Manager
Craig works with Vancouver Lower Mainland grocery chains and independent grocery retailers to develop new business and increase brand penetration.
He started his career in the food business in 2006. He began working in sales for Evergreen Herbs Ltd., a leading Canadian grower and distributor of herbs and specialty vegetables. His next role was Sale Manager for Bargain Wholesale. There he continued to grow year over year sales with a number of high profile key accounts.
Before joining Freelance Craig worked as a Key Account Manager for Jiva Organics, a manufacturer of natural food products that distributes to grocery retailers.
Mark Yacoboski, Key Account Manager – Vancouver Island
Mark brings high energy and attention to detail in his role at Freelance Marketing.
His high level of motivation and passion for the customer come from a background in auto sales and experience being a paramedic.
Mark is our first point of contact for independent and chain stores throughout the BC Lower Mainland – and he looks forward to building relationships with these accounts as well as securing growth for our many brands. In Mark’s words “ Customer service sets us apart at Freelance”.
Sasha Arsov – Key Account Manager, Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba
Sasha brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience to our team. She has worked for some of the biggest names in the shoes and furniture industries until 4 years ago she found her ~forever love~ in the face of the food industry.
Sasha’s commitment to her customers is second to none and her passion and upbeat personality are contagious. She makes a point to understand the core of her customer’s business so she can offer sales and marketing strategies that are tailored to their needs.
As a self described foodie and an amateur chef, food to Sasha is much more than a meal. She’s in her element when cooking meals for her family and friends while dancing in her kitchen and singing completely out of tune.
Paula Harned, Territory Manager – BC Interior
Paula brings 38 years of food industry customer service experience to Freelance Marketing.
Paula is driven to deliver excellence in customer service and is passionate about searching for new ways for our clients to increase their margins.
She is always looking for new ways for brands to capitalize on new trends and leverage shifts in the marketplace.
Fabiane Stein, Executive Assistant
Fabiane has worked in food service management for over 15 years; with a strong background in the strategic management of costs, purchasing and inventory. She also has experience managing and monitoring food service agreements including assessing contract delivery and performance.
Most recently, Fabi has worked as a consultant helping clients with the preparation of feasibility studies and new businesses analysis.
She has a passion for the food industry. For her, meals are much more than the food – it’s a time to enjoy, interact, and create a pleasant and welcoming social environment.
Jeanette Johnson, Order Desk
Jeannette brings over 30 years of order processing and sales support experience to her role at Freelance Marketing.
Her years working on a fast paced order desk at Sunrise Poultry taught Jeanette to multi-task and processes orders efficiently. She understands how to quickly address customer order and/or shipping issues that might arise.
Jeanette has a high attention to detail and customer-first attitude. This helps assure that Freelance continues to deliver superior customer service from order to delivery.
